Last month The Great Khali’s disciple Kavita Devi became the first Indian woman to fight in WWE. WWE has released the first video of Kavita’s Fight on the Official YouTube Channel. In this video, the Kavita seems to be fighting in the ring with New Zealand’s wrestler Dakota Kai.
WWE recorded video of the ‘May Young Classic’ tournament which started on July 14, which is now gradually putting on YouTube. Prior to this match, Kavita lost in the round but she became the first Indian woman to reach this ring. She was competing with Dakota Kai in this elimination tournament of 32 Woman.
The ‘Young Classic’ tournament was organized in memory of WWE Hall of Fame ‘May Young’, one of WWE’s Greatest Wrestlers. This is an Elimination Tournament where top female wrestlers from many countries of the world have participated. Female wrestlers from all major countries like America, New Zealand, Germany, Japan, Mexico, China, and India have reached to participate in this tournament.
During the battle in the ring, there was a strong fight between Kavita and Dakota. But in this hard-hitting fight, the Kavita did not last long before the speed and strength of Dakota. Kai won a bass running kicks and top rope with a Soul Stomp Off.
Who is Kavita Devi?
Kavita Devi, ex – champion power lifter trained under The Great Khali at his academy in Punjab. One more amazing thing about her is that she is seen at the ring in salwar kameez…..a new motivation for the WWE girls and breaking records to take our ethnicity to a distinct level.
