Louis Vuitton announced its smart watch , the Tambour Horizon, a smartwatch with Android Wear, and priced between $ 2450 and $ 2900, depending on the color. Beyond the design, the brand that it carries, and the 60 meshes available for the watch, this device is identical to the other models with that operating system. It thus joins Tag Heuer , Apple with Hermes and Michael Kors, among other luxury brands who try their luck in the world of smart watches (other firms have opted for connected watches , more modest).

It offers, a box of steel of 42 mm of diameter and 12,5 mm of thickness. It has a 1.2-inch AMOLED circular touch screen (which is always active), a crown that is also button to interact with the equipment (like other models with Android Wear 2.0), a battery of 300 mAh ( A day of autonomy), a Snapdragon Wear 2100 chip ( the same as LG and other Swiss brands ), 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. It has no heart rate sensor like other models.

Like other watches with Android Wear (and like the Apple Watch), this smartwatches compatible with Android and with the iPhone, allows to display the notifications of the phone on the screen of the clock and interact with them (answer a message, for example), configure multiple Faces to change the aesthetics of the clock, and add applications (maps, multimedia control, Spotify, etc).
