Chief Justice J. S. Kehhar will administer the oath to the new President Ramnath Kovind on 12.25 pm. After this, Pranab Mukherjee will rise from his chair and sit Ramnath Kovind on his chair.
As India’s 14th President, Ramnath Kovind will take oath of office and secrecy today. Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, J. S. Kehhar will administrate oath in the central hall of Parliament today. The swearing ceremony will start at 12 pm and run for 45 minutes.
At 10.30 in the morning, the new President Ramnath Kovind will visit Rajghat and pay homage to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. 11.15 Coordinates from Rajghat, will meet Pranab Mukherjee directly at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. These programs will be in Durbar Hall.
At 11.45 am, Ramnath Kovind and Pranab Mukherjee will leave for Parliament from Rashtrapati Bhavan . During this, the Presidential Body Guard will be with him. Both will arrive at Parliament House at 12.25 pm in a car. From the Gate Number 5 of Parliament House, both will reach the central hall.
At Gate number 5 both will be received by Vice President, Prime Minister, Lok Sabha Speaker and Parliamentary Affairs Minister. There will be five bases on the stage in central hall, in which President Pranab Mukherjee will sit on the middle chair. Ramnath Kovind on the second chair and Chief Justice JS Khehar will sit on the third. Vice President Hamid Ansari and Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan will sit on one of the remaining two chairs.

11 members of the family of Kovind will attend the function
After this, Lok Sabha Speaker will invite President Ramnath Kovind to give his speech. The speech of President of the nation Ramnath Kovind will be about 15 minutes. In the swearing-in ceremony, 11 members of Ramnath Kovind’s family will take part. The Chief Ministers and MPs of all the states have been invited in the function.
After the swearing-in ceremony, the Prime Minister and all the members of the cabinet will congratulate the new President Ramnath Kovind. After the ceremony Pranab Mukherjee will leave the new President Ramnath Kovind to the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
