The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh rawat launched an important step towards the goal of doubling the income of farmers in the state till 2022. Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Cooperative Farmers Welfare Scheme was launched on Sunday.

Under this scheme, multi-purpose loans of up to one lakh rupees will be made available to the farmers at a very low interest rate of 2 percent. Launching the scheme, the Chief Minister gave a multi-purpose loan of Rs.1 lakh each to 101 small marginal and poor farmers at the venue of the program.
The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the increase in the income of the farmers in the mountains and they will be benefited under the scheme for mixed farming. He said that the headquarters of the Rural Development and Welfare Commission will be established soon in the District Headquarter Pauri. Its order has been issued.
