The home ministry has in a report to the Prime Minister’s Office said on Friday it has observed no substance in a concern by a BSF jawan that bad quality rations were provided to security personnel posted alongside the border, saying “there was no widespread discontent” in constabulary over food.
In the report, the ministry communicated to the PMO that there was no lack of rations at any post in paramilitary forces and high quality check is being performed consistently.
A video by BSF jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav protesting and complaining about the quality of food had gone viral, induced a lot of reactions with the PMO also seeking a comprehensive actual report on the episode.
The PMO has been informed that “there is no widespread discontent in constabulary over food in any paramilitary force”, official sources said.
The border protecting force also turned out with fresh guidelines for keeping high-quality of food for its personnel.
