The date of 1 July 2017 is going to make a big difference in the lives of all Indians. Starting July 1, the new tax system ‘GST’ is going to be implemented in the entire country. Apart from ‘GST’, many more things will change. The biggest change is to get the Aadhaar card.
Know what changes will be made in the Aadhar card from July 1
No I-T return file without Aadhar card: The government has made the Aadhar card mandatory for filing income tax returns. Without the Aadhar card, after 1 July you will not be able to file your returns.
Adding Aadhar card with Pan: The government has made it mandatory to add the Aadhaar card with PAN to stop the people using many PAN cards to save tax. If you do not add your PAN to the base under Section 139AA of Income Tax Act, your PAN will be invalid.
Without a base card, no PAN card: You must have an Adhar card for the new PAN card. After Saturday you will not be able to apply for PAN card without your Aadhar card.
No passport without Aadhar card: The Foreign Ministry has made the Aadhar card mandatory for applying for a passport. From 1 July, you will not be able to apply for your passport without a base card.
PF account will also be linked to the Aadhar card: Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has asked PF accounts to be linked to Aadhaar card by June 30. Pensioners have also been asked to deposit their Aadhar card. According to the EPFO, the withdrawal and settlement process from Aadhar card linking is expected to take less time.
Aadhar card is necessary for scholarships: HRD Ministry has issued a notification that the students of school and college who would like to get a scholarship or are already taking have been asked to deposit their Aadhar card by June 30. Those who don’t have the Aadhaar card will not get scholarships.
No PDS subsidy benefits without Aadhar card: The public distribution system has also been linked to the base. People receiving all PDS subsidy benefits must add the Aadhaar card with their ration card before July 1.
