A Sukhoi (Su-30 MKI) fighter jet of the Indian Air Force crashed in Rajasthan’s Barmer district today. The jet, that has been on a routine sortie, crashed around Shivkar Kurla village of the region soon after it took off from Jodhpur air base. Both pilots handled to escape unhurt from the aircraft.
The incident came just hrs following IAF’s Chetak helicopter toppled in Allahabad while trying to land after pilots recognized a technical snag.
The plane crash left three villagers injured.
One Narayan Ram, his daughter-in-law and grandson were injured in the crash. Injured have been admitted to the district hospital, Circle Officer Barmer O.P. Ujjwal said.
