“But in last two years, for the Army we have been continuously evaluating that whether satisfaction level for the food being served has increased or not. I am myself monitoring it,” The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) in 2012-13 had made certain observation in a report and “we are improving it”, he said.

In the video posted on Facebook by BSF jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav in which he had alleged poor-quality meals getting served to paramilitary soldiers at border areas. He stated that following 10 hours of duty, all that they get is a ‘Dal’ made of turmeric and salt, sans lentils and a few burnt chapatis.

BSF has turned out with clean guidelines for maintaining high quality of food for its people along the border.

At the same time, following Tej Bahadur Yadav’s video went viral, it sort started out the floodgates. A CRPF constable Jeet Singh, has published a video addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which he has lamented about the serious circumstances in which CRPF jawans have to execute their duties. “No medical facilities, no leaves, pension stopped…” he stated in the video.
